Cold Snap

Cold Snap is a common Defect attack that deals 6 damage and channels 1 Frost Orb for 1 Energy. It's the Defect's primary early-game combo card, simultaneously dealing damage and advancing the Frost Orb setup. Each Frost Orb passively generates Block at the start of each turn (1 + Focus), so Cold Snap both attacks and builds long-term defense.

Cold Snap is a strong and versatile common that fits into nearly any Defect build. It provides attack damage in the short term and Block generation in the long term, making it efficient in all phases of combat. Multiple copies accelerate the Frost Orb setup, and with Focus from Defragment each Frost generates more Block. It also contributes to the Blizzard damage counter. Upgraded, the damage increases to 9, which is excellent for a 1-cost card alongside the Frost channel.
