Fear No Evil

Fear No Evil is a Watcher uncommon attack that deals 8 damage and enters Calm stance if the target's intent is to attack. Calm stance provides 2 energy on exit, so conditionally entering Calm while dealing damage makes Fear No Evil both offensive and potentially energy-positive. The conditional trigger requires the enemy to have an attack intent, which is common but not universal — against enemies using debuff or block moves, Fear No Evil just deals 8 damage with no Calm bonus.

Fear No Evil excels against high-attack enemies and bosses that frequently show attack intent. In those fights, it deals 8 damage (16 in Wrath) while positioning you in Calm for energy generation. Transitioning from Wrath to Calm via Fear No Evil while getting Calm's energy bonus is a powerful stance-cycling play. The conditional nature makes it less reliable against enemies that don't attack frequently. Upgraded, Fear No Evil deals 11 damage instead of 8, making the conditional play more rewarding and improving value even on turns when the Calm bonus doesn't trigger.
