Ancient Potion

Ancient Potion is an uncommon potion that grants 1 Artifact when used. Artifact is a buff that blocks the next debuff applied to your character, consuming one stack of Artifact per blocked debuff. It effectively acts as a shield against status effects like Weak, Vulnerable, Frail, or Strength reduction. It is obtained through enemy drops, shop purchases, or events.

Ancient Potion's value spikes in fights where the enemy relies heavily on applying debuffs to impair your effectiveness. For example, bosses like the Champ who apply Weak, or Elites who inflict Vulnerable on you, are significantly neutered if you have Artifact active. It is also invaluable for Defect builds using Frost Orbs extensively, where being Frailed can break your defensive strategy. Because Artifact only blocks one debuff per stack, the single stack from Ancient Potion is best saved for a debuff that would be particularly harmful to your current strategy, rather than wasted on a minor Weak application.
