Delesyia
Delesyia is Pywel's northeastern region, a land of dense forests, ancient ruins, and creatures not found elsewhere on the continent. Where Hernand is pastoral and Pailune is agricultural, Delesyia is wild — a region where civilization exists in pockets surrounded by wilderness that has never been fully tamed. The forests of Delesyia are home to the game's most exotic fauna: wild raptors, bears of unusual size and aggression, and in the deepest reaches, creatures tied to the Abyss whose presence on the physical plane suggests the boundary between worlds is thinner here than elsewhere.
The mount taming system reaches its full expression in Delesyia. While horses are first tamed in Hernand, raptors and bears are found primarily in Delesyia's forests and highlands, making the region essential for players who want access to the game's most aggressive and distinctive combat mounts. The wyvern — the game's most powerful and visually spectacular mount — is associated with a specific questline in Delesyia, tying the aerial mount to the region's mythology and its connection to the Abyss.
Delesyia's ruins and ancient sites are significant for the game's lore. The region was once more densely populated, and the remnants of earlier civilizations — stone temples, collapsed fortifications, overgrown plazas — contain historical records and artifacts that flesh out Pywel's history before the current political order. Several of the game's optional exploration questlines send players into Delesyia's ruins to recover these records, providing context for the cosmic stakes Alustin describes and the relationship between Pywel and the Abyss.
Politically, Delesyia is less contested than the more central regions precisely because it is harder to control. The noble houses of Demeniss have interests in the region's resources but limited ability to project sustained military power into its wilder areas. This creates spaces where independent groups — traveling merchants, witch settlements, rogue factions — operate outside normal political structures. The Witches of Pywel have a significant presence in Delesyia, and several of the individual witch questlines are rooted in the region.
