Handcar

The Handcar is a small platform vehicle on iron wheels, propelled by a see-saw pump handle — the classic piece of railway maintenance equipment that, placed on a Railway Track, transforms a length of idle rail into a functional transit scene. Crafted from Iron Ingots and Small Logs, it contributes to the Structure sub-score and, when placed on an active Railway Track, becomes the single most effective item for establishing a working railway aesthetic. Without the Handcar on the track, the rail reads as background; with it, the track becomes a centrepiece.

Tinkmaster uses the Handcar for short-haul material transport between his workshop and the outer construction zones, and has been known to give Pokémon rides on the platform bed when time permits — an activity that has become one of the most requested on the island. Steel-type Pokémon are most likely to investigate the Handcar independently, and Magnemite variants have been observed attempting to push the pump handle with their magnetic arms in idle animations. The Handcar pairs with the Railway Track, Crossing Gate, and Utility Pole for a complete functional transit infrastructure vignette.
