Gambler's Brew

Gambler's Brew is an uncommon potion that lets you discard any number of cards from your hand and then draw that many replacements. The discard is player-chosen, so you can selectively remove the worst cards in your hand and attempt to replace them with better ones. It is obtained through enemy drops, shop purchases, or events.

Gambler's Brew is essentially a selective hand refresh. Its value depends on how bad your current hand is relative to what might be in your draw pile. If your hand is full of Curses, Wounds, or cards that don't fit the current situation, discarding all of them and drawing fresh cards can completely turn a turn around. It pairs naturally with the Silent's discard-matters synergies, but any character can benefit from it when the stars align. The risk is that the replacement cards may not be better; in a large bloated deck, the gamble may not pay off. In thin, well-curated decks, it's much more reliable as a hand-quality tool.
