Focus Potion

Focus Potion is a common potion exclusive to the Defect that grants 2 Focus for the rest of combat. Focus increases the passive effect of all Orbs when they Evoke or trigger at the end of turns. For example, a Lightning Orb deals 3 + Focus damage when it passively triggers, so 2 Focus makes every Lightning passive deal 5 damage instead. It is obtained through enemy drops, shop purchases, and events.

Focus Potion is one of the most powerful Defect potions, especially in builds that maintain full Orb slots with Lightning or Dark Orbs. The bonus compounds over time: more Focus means every passive Orb trigger is amplified, which in a fight lasting many turns can translate to dozens of additional damage or Block. Dark Orbs in particular benefit enormously from Focus, as their Evoke power scales directly with accumulated Focus. Using Focus Potion early in an elite or boss fight maximizes the benefit, as the Orbs have more opportunities to trigger with the boosted passive values.
