Rollout

Rollout is taught by Graveler once the boulder-like Rock/Ground-type has settled comfortably enough in its environment to share its signature technique. In Graveler form, Ditto curls into a rolling ball and builds momentum across flat terrain, capable of breaking through barriers too solid for Rock Smash and crossing some gap types that foot travel cannot manage.

The move has specific applications in areas with level stone terrain and structural barriers. It is complementary to Rock Smash rather than a replacement — some obstacles yield to one but not the other — and players who unlock both will find the Rocky Ridges considerably more navigable than those who stop at the first solution.
