MEKA Combat Walker (Compromised)
The MEKA Combat Walker is the largest and most dangerous enemy in Marathon outside of designated boss encounters β a bipedal heavy construction unit the size of a small building, originally designed for demolition and structural relocation, now weaponized against any runner unfortunate enough to be in its operational zone. Its defining characteristics are scale (it towers over standard enemies), durability (1200 health makes it the second-toughest enemy in the game by health pool), and its weak point: the exposed power core housing on its back that, when targeted, takes triple damage.
Combat Walker encounters are designed to test squad coordination specifically. The Walker's frontal stomp and melee slam attacks hit for over 200 damage each, while its rotating turret mounts continuous suppressive fire. Engaging it from the front solo is certain death. The optimized engagement requires one runner to draw the Walker's attention from the front while squad members flank to target the rear power core β a mechanically simple split that requires trust, communication, and positioning discipline to execute under fire.
