UESC Drone (Combat)

Combat Drones are the armored, weapon-equipped evolution of standard surveillance drones — constructs that combine the aerial mobility of a patrol drone with the armament of a light infantry unit. Where standard drones serve as scouts and alert systems, Combat Drones actively engage runners with dual light machine gun arrays that deliver consistent sustained fire from angles that ground-based enemies cannot replicate. They always travel in pairs, and their coordinated approach — one drawing fire while the other flanks overhead — is a scaled-down version of the Hunter pack tactics.

Encounter Notes

• Spawn condition: Mid-to-high value zones in Core and Apex; always paired
• Combat behavior: Pair flanks from above while ground enemies engage frontally; priority targets in any mixed engagement
• Counter: Single rocket (Spnkr or explosive grenade) destroys both if close together; predictable patrol arc makes ambush from behind reliable
• Key risk: Being engaged by a Combat Drone pair simultaneously with ground Enforcers — prioritize the drones first to eliminate the overhead threat
