UESC Simulacrum (Locus-type)

πŸ‘Ή

The Locus-type Simulacrum is the most mobile and most deceptive variant in the Simulacrum category β€” a construct that has copied the Locus Runner Shell's movement capabilities and recon toolkit and deployed them against their creators. Unlike standard Simulacrums that engage from cover, the Locus-type uses Sprint Protocol (or a mechanically equivalent ability) to close distance at extreme speed and relies on Echo Pulse mimicry to locate runners before they locate it. In open environments, it is the most dangerous standard enemy in the game.

Encounter Notes

  • Identifying traits: Faster movement speed than all other Simulacrums; will sprint toward runners rather than advancing cautiously
  • Counter: Area-denial weapons punish its aggression β€” a Spnkr shot into its Sprint trajectory, or Napalm Cannon burning the approach corridor, neutralizes the speed advantage
  • Health advantage: Lower health than standard Simulacrum (500 vs 650) due to Locus light frame replication
  • Location: Maximum-Heat Core zones β€” encounters here indicate maximum zone danger
