Maverick Pistol

The Maverick Pistol is the premier sidearm in Marathon — an A-tier semi-automatic pistol with damage and accuracy statistics that rival some assault rifles at medium range. At 40 damage per shot with 82 accuracy and a 15-round magazine, the Maverick is the best secondary weapon for runners who carry a shotgun or LMG as their primary and need a reliable damage option at ranges where those weapons are ineffective. Many veteran runners carry the Maverick specifically as insurance against the range scenarios their primary weapon handles poorly.

Combat Application

The Maverick Pistol shines as a secondary for WSTR Combat Shotgun runners, providing a reliable medium-range option when enemies are beyond shotgun effective range. Its two mod slots allow for a suppressor and recoil compensator combination that makes it viable as a stealth secondary for Void Shell runners. Invest in MIDA Tier 1 for discounted Maverick access — it is one of the best early-economy investments available.
