Named for the distinctive sound of its high-speed cyclic fire, the BRRT is the weapon of choice for runners who believe the best defense is an overwhelming offense before the enemy can react.

What sets the BRRT apart from other SMGs is its extraordinary hip-fire performance. Most automatic weapons in Marathon require aimed fire at anything beyond point-blank range, but the BRRT maintains usable accuracy while moving and shooting at full speed — a critical advantage in the chaotic close-range engagements that define Terminus corridor fights and Apex interior room-clearing. Combined with its 32-round magazine and fast reload, the BRRT can service two or three enemies before a single reload is needed.

Combat Application

The BRRT excels in any interior or close-range scenario: Terminus tunnels, Apex tower floors, and the tight corridors of Core's lower levels. Against AI enemies, the high fire rate melts through Trooper health pools before they can respond. Against rival runners, the BRRT's ability to deal full damage while moving makes it the most dangerous weapon in close-range PvP engagements. Its only weakness is range: effective accuracy drops dramatically beyond 30 meters, making it unsuitable for the open rooftops of Apex or the long sightlines of Perimeter.
