Trident MK-II

The Trident MK-II is a hard-hitting semi-automatic and burst-fire assault rifle designed for runners who prioritize damage per shot over rate of fire. At 40 damage per shot — the highest base damage of any assault rifle — the Trident rewards accurate marksmanship with disproportionate lethality. A three-shot burst from the Trident at medium range, all shots landing, deals more damage than a comparable burst from the VK-7 despite the smaller magazine. Against Enforcers and Hunters, landing consistent headshots with the Trident is one of the most time-efficient ways to eliminate elite enemies.

Combat Application

The Trident MK-II is the choice of runners who have confident aim and want it rewarded. It is less forgiving than the VK-7 — missed shots waste the per-shot damage advantage and the smaller magazine punishes extended missed fire harshly. For accurate players, however, the Trident at medium range is one of the most lethal A-tier options available, particularly effective against the higher-health elite enemies found in Core and Apex.
