Whisper PDW

The Whisper PDW is Marathon's only suppressed SMG, featuring an integrated suppressor that eliminates muzzle flash and dramatically reduces the acoustic signature of each shot. Unlike other suppressed weapons that require a suppressor mod slot to be spent, the Whisper's suppression is built into its frame — freeing its two mod slots for damage or handling improvements. For runners who operate at the edge of enemy detection range, the difference between a loud burst from a BRRT and a near-silent series of shots from the Whisper is the difference between triggering a patrol alert and completing an entire zone without the Heat meter rising.

The Whisper's damage per shot sits between the BRRT and FNKL — not the highest in class but sufficient for the stealth-kill scenarios where it shines. Its accuracy is also middle-of-the-road, making it most effective at close-to-medium range where the stealth benefit is most valuable.
